My nails have been pretty bare since the beginning of Autumn, so I decided to do some online research on what the current 'fall' favorites were. I’m pretty indecisive when it comes to nail varnish…When I see all the beautiful colors at a beauty counter I usually just freeze and gape open mouthed…

For those of you who are just as indecisive as me, here are some current nail trends.
So from what I have gathered the three most popular colors in the UK are purple, red and blue. I've picked a few colors that have struck my attention… I just might have to invest in some of these.
Illamasqua Force - discontinued in the UK (Found it on Ebay for £12.95)/ O.P.I I saw...U saw...We saw...Warsaw - John and Ginger £11.50 (you could probably find a cheaper one online)/ Forever 21 Blue Print - $2.80 (unfortunately not available in the UK, but you could find a similar shade from Barry M or Rimmel)/ Jin Soon Blue Iris - Jin Soon $18.00 (I know Space.NK used to do some Jin Soon nail varnish's but i'm not sure they still do)/ Butter London Royal Navy- Ebay £8.99/ Nars Fury- Nars £14.00 (Again could get a cheaper one online)/M.A.C For Fun- (Again not available in the UK but a similar color to this is M.A.C's Dark Angel which is around £11)/ O.P.I Pamplona Purple- Amazon £7.20/ Tom Ford Viper- Ebay £14.99/ Lancome Vernis in Love Midnight Rose- Lancome £12.50/ Tom Ford Scarlet Chinois- Ebay £14.99/ YSL Rouge Pop Art- Selfridges £18.00/ O.P.I Red Lacquer- Ebay £7.95/ Butter London Saucy Jack- Ebay £8.99/ Bobbie Brown Valentine Red- Ebay £9.95

My personal favorites has to be Jin Soon's Blue Iris, Tom Fords Viper and Bobbi Brown's Valentine Red. The Blue Iris is such a bold color, which i'd love to try since I usually wear pale colours cause of my child like hands...
For some odd reason, when I wear darker colors it looks like i've rubbed paint all over my hands... Maybe its my application technique, maybe its the nail varnish ...but i'm pretty sure it's because of my abnormal hands...my freakishly small hands and my beyond crooked fingers...I blame my parents...
-I probably will buy some of these nail varnish's once I get a bit of cash...
But for those of you who are as broke as I am, fear not!!!!

Barry M Blue Grape- Superdrug £3.99/ Topshop - John Lewis £5/ Rimmel London Central Love Heart - Asos £2.50/ Topshop Bittersweet - Topshop £6/ Topshop matte nails in Brutal (I brought this ages ago and it was the closest color to Tom Ford's viper...unfortunately it's sold out/ Rimmel Purple Pulse- Amazon £4.99/ Topshop Pillar Box - Topshop £5
Tadaaah!!!! Some great and cheap options. For those of you who still think these are pretty pricey then try Ebay bidding.
I can't guarantee you'll win but, if you've got the time there might be some hidden gems waiting for you in the darkest and inner most depths of Ebay.
The alternative shades aren't exact matches but they are pretty similar, so for those of you who are skint go ahead and try these shades out.
